26/11/2013

26/11/2013
Tuesday
What are you guys doing on that day?
  Hanging out with friends
Studying in house
Or just sleeping on your bed
(Just Kidding XP)

However,
for me
is one of the Most Memorable day in my life

The day started with an appointment with a mentor
which was invited by my friend
That table session started with an ice-breaking session,
when he wanted to know our name
(there are several people attend at that time)

Then,
he asked us whether we have problems or not
One of us have a question regarding about relationship
My first thought was that could be challenging for him.
Yet,
he brought out this theory

If your mindset always in pessimistic mode,
it will always give dramatic results in your life;
If your mindset always in optimistic condition,
the percentage of being successful will be higher.

At that moment,
I reflected my past experiences.
Guess what,
it did make senses.
My failed and success experience
it do based on my mindset.

Moving on,
he brought another things that woos us
I really shocked.....
at the first time
I can't believe
because you spent years on your study
was wish to have a good work
After I had seen this circle,
the giving is more than earning.
Besides it was just an estimation,
it may be even more.

And so on.
He explained the Apprentice Program
and the benefits.
That's my first impact.

That day was the our clubs LAST MEETING OF 2013.
During the sharing session in the meeting,
( Our first time do this sharing session)
there was a guest speaker who was also invited by my same friend
who was an author of
"95% and 5% System"
also founder of Leader Preneurship
He talk about what is 95% and 5% stand for
TWO DIVERSE MINDSET
and what are the differences between both type of people's life

That was my second impact.
As I just realized that
I was currently in the portion of 95%
which mostly normal people thought.
To be successful,
you should have that 5% concept in your mind.

Lastly,
the final impact that I have
I decided to follow this guest
as he mentioned there is a gathering
due to my curiosity and want to discover new things

In that gathering,
I found out that most of them are Christians
And all of them have their very own story
which touched my heart.

Even though my family practiced Hokkien culture,
and was told that I supposed to be Buddhist.
(Like put on a tag on my forehead)
I actually was not so practical on my "religion"

On the other hand,
me and Christianity
had some sort of connection
While they were sharing their story
I looked back again to my life
Life in Italy
Malaysian Study Presentation
Meet new friends who were Christians.

I always behave in a humble and respectful manner when it comes to religion
So,
to discover whether are these just coincident
or maybe we do have connection
I decided to follow HIS pathway.

26 November 2013
I will never forget in the rest of my life.
Cause that day,
it may be my another turning point in life.

I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE YOU GUYS THE SPEECH THAT GIVEN BY THIS GUEST. IT IS RECOMMENDED AS IT MAY GIVES SOME INSPIRATION TO YOU :)

What will college student eat? - Hong Kong Station

Two Days Ago,
my friend and I have dinner
on this restaurant.
called
Hong Kong Station

This restaurant is in SS15, Subang Jaya
walking distance is just less than 5 minutes from Taylor's College

In my impression,
when I saw this restaurant for the first time
I really thought was a shop which sell all kind of stuffs from Hong Kong.
Although it doesn't sell stuffs
it sells Hong Kong food.

When you first step walked into this restaurant,
what you can see in the first sight
was
the modern red & black dining set

During you're dining, you started to notice
there are some of the replica of Hong Kong place signs ( like above )

They even put on the Hong Kong railway route on the wall
behind the counter.

After see through the menu,
I ordered the one of the Today's Special menu
Butter chicken rice seasoned with secret recipe sauce

served along with a Cantonese mixed drink

My review for this butter chicken rice,
the chicken was well done cooked yet
the moisture of chicken kept.
The rich flavor of the butter sauce further elevated the taste of the chicken.
However,
I would like to suggest that
the side dishes (carrots and corn)
put more seasoning on them
so the whole dish will be more completed
instead of butter chicken rice with unseasoned veggies.

Besides Today's Special menu,
there are some normal set menus can be selected.

One thing that so far I didn't other restaurants implemented
that was
the way they put their WIFI password
into a QR Code

(If you lucky, the boss sometime will serve some snacks for free. )

Anyway,
this is my first food review in my blog.
Hope you guys enjoy it!
Buon Appetito

P.S: The food review is based my experience and palate.

Sunway Toastmaster Club Meeting

It's quite a long time
since last sharing
of my Toastmasters Experience.
(The next month I will start to playback my past
and to share with you every single meeting that I attended)
yet
Today is different
because I would like to share with you eagerly
as this club meeting has its own charm

Yesterday
I decided to attend another Toastmasters Meeting
That was the third TM meeting that I go in this week.
Probably I couldn't stand my life
with the common tempo
Even though I may be alone
I still want to visit.

Sunway Toastmasters Club
if I am not mistaken
this year is their 25th anniversary
since the club had established
also one of the oldest club that I visited so far

When I reached the meeting venue,
after I greeted my friend
My eyes immediately saw
there were numbers of banners with different labels
"Advanced Speakers, You're On the Way to DTM"
"Let's Conquer CC!!"
&
Banner of Ribbons
most of the ribbons I noticed
were sewed
"Selected Distinguished Club"

You're able to see how the club been organized
how do the club officer cooperated
so the club can be awarded as Selected Distinguished Club
for so many times

Then the meeting started
everyone had seated and ready for their ears
to hear great speeches
(It is indeed awesome!!)

One things that fresh to me
was
the grammarian had his own gadget
a bell

if you dunno what did it work
you may thought was overtime for your speech.
but this bell,
acts a count for the Word of the Day.
It rings whenever the Word of the Day had been used.
(Mmm....Interesting)

Table Topics Session
as always
very creative presentation
(even bit cruel, by separating a doll XP)
and speeches were impromptu yet inspiring

What I liked the most was
the project speech session
This is where you can what kinds of speaker they do have in that club
One word came out from my mind
" PROFESSIONAL"

From the first two speaker who were doing their Ice Breaker speech
moving on to the Vocal Variety
then Persuade with Power
and lastly Inspire Your Audience speech.
They're all shown fully confidence on their face.

If I want tell what character they are,
the first speaker
named Choi Jia Herng
probably a wise man
who taught us to be determined

the second speaker,
named Hao Yun
was surely a humor master which brought us lots of humors
at the same time introduce himself

(you got my vote XP)

the third speaker,
named Wai Hong
must be a kungfu panda who just came back from NS
(that panda cap really spotted on)
to tell us never to be overconfident even though you're good in your own "kung fu"

the fourth speaker,
named Ai Bee
was a lecturer who advise us that
to have a good health is wealth

(I knew what you felt there when doing CC#9, since I redone mine recently.)

and the last one
named Nathalia
was a female warrior like Mulan
who stood up again from the past and "fight" confidently and inspire the audience.

( I got some tips from you and would try to implement into mine
then deliver soon)

Even though there were some minor flaws in between the speeches,
but their words and minds were delivered clearly
and to be remembered for the future.

Evaluations,
the only thing I would say was
I learnt a lot....
Really learnt a lot in the sense that
these suggestion could refine our speech techniques
at the same time
even we were not the speakers

Lastly,
I liked the moment when their members
putting on their stars on the banners that mentioned earlier
you can see the joy from their faces
That had the sense of achievement and encouragement
(I also wished I have my own star)

This visit had given me some culture shock
and elevated my knowledge of Toastmasters to the next level.
I would like to plan my next visit in the future
as
there are something there that worth for discovery

Favourite Artiste 3 - One Direction

One Direction
I would like to say is one of the artiste that I followed few months ago.
Although in the past,
they did released few albums,
I just heard their songs recently.
So,
if you asked who are Zayn, Liam, Harry, Niall and Louis
I still need some time to know them.

The time when I started followed them
was when they came out
the music video
" Best Song Ever "
I was been captured by the front part of the video
where there are movie industry bosses,
a "female" secretary
(Kinda shocked at the first moment, yet he did look sexy XP)
a nerdy director
and
a overwhelming dance director

I like the concept of the whole video,
for me as a first timer,
I can know some of the past events their went
through the playbacks
And this video indeed
is one of their BEST SONG EVER.

After that,
I started looked back some of their videos.
The most meaningful video
was
" One Way Or Another"
which they decided to raise fund for Comic Relief,
a British charity organisation.
I like the way they mixed the circus music in the middle of the song
it created a freshness impact to me.

At the same time,
I also loved to listen the song
"One Thing" and "What Makes You Beautiful"
what a romantic and attractive
rhythm and vocals

As a sum,
hopefully can hear more good song from One Direction!!!
> <

Here are some music videos from One Direction that mentioned earlier. ENJOY!!

"One Way Or Another"
"One Thing"
"What Makes You Beautiful"

War Between Optismism & Pessimism

WAR DIARY
"Today is 4 November, 2013, Monday, I currently preparing for my Maths Paper 6 which will be held on tomorrow. To be honest, I am kinda confident that I will score it well. What do I worry the most is my Physics Paper 2, which will be held 3 days after tomorrow's paper. I am very scared and anxious about what should I with my Physics. What I felt was like neither ways that I did would let me even to pass the subject. This dark cloud grew bigger and bigger, and it started to effect my confidence on other things. Even though my friends told me that everything is gonna be fine, it doesn't make me feel better.... :( "

I am now in the line of equality,
on my left, there is optimism,
(where everything is going to be fine and easy)
on my right, there is pessimism,
(where I may failed my Physics papers)

Actually it seen
I am slapping myself with my own hand
Because
I was given a speech on previous Toastmasters Meeting
" Be optimistic, Not pessimistic"
and I am thinking pessismistically
about my Physics papers now.

(Therefore, I guess this is the continuation of this title.)

When you first stepped into pessimism,
it was like quick sand.
It is deadly and slowly to effect
from mental to physical.

But then,
there must be a force,
(something alike with Newton's 3rd  Law)
it may be diminished,
yet it still keep certain part of you to the optimism part.
And that's when
the war between them

HAD BEGUN

Being in between these two different mindset
makes you to be indecisive
For example,
"You wish to study abroad as you think that it can change your life, to have a better future."
"In the other hand, you may start questioning about this idea."
" How much I am going to pay off for this better life, is it worthy? Is it really makes any differences?"
Hows and Whys kept on flowing out
In the end,
your decision that made become an uncertainty

 Secondly,
people who were in between this grey region
they life may became more boring
" At first, you thought that you should buy a video game"
" to add an option for your daily entertainment."
" but you didn't buy it, just because worry that you may be overplayed and effect your grades."

However,
what is the problem about this situation was,
even you didn't buy the video game at all,
Was it 100% sure that you get better grade?
Are you still happy when you get good scores?

Everything must has its pros and cons
you have the rights to concern
yet you have to concern one thing
" If I do this, will I be happy in the future for long term?"
(Even though is a fact that playing video game is not long term happiness XP)
"Will I regret about my choices?"

TO WIN THIS WAR,
THE ONLY THING YOU SHOULD DO IS
ALWAYS PUT YOURSELF
IN AN INSPIRING AND POSITIVE ENVIRONMENT

AVOID YOURSELF
FROM EXCESS & UNNECESSARY WORRIES
BE READY
To TRY, TRY, TRY

If you failed on this time,

keep moving on
cause the next time that waiting for you
could be a SUCCESS

It's been a long time since I posted with some Glee songs, hope you guys feel motivated by hearing today's songs.

Mistakes

I believed that
there lots of magnificent people said about this
" Everyone makes mistakes, neither human or god."
It is easy to say we should admit our mistakes
but it is hard to do it.
(Like me)

I am scared to make mistakes
I tried to avoid myself from making mistakes
BUT that's is already a huge mistake for me
It gives me lots of bad experiences in my early life

In primary school,
I tried to make friends with the people around me
because I had wrong communication technique
ended up with nobody wanted to be friend with me
which is lonely and a scar

for a young kid
That's when I started to be very afraid to make mistakes

As moving on to secondary school,
to be honest
I maybe too cautious
then it led to another mistakes
I was been misunderstood as a person who suffered stress.
(Even though in my opinion, the personality of that person said on me was worse than me)
At the same time,
I missed some of the fun stuffs in the earlier years

I was glad that I went to intercultural program
so that I was able to open my mind
and started to try to admit my mistake

Even recently
again I do not have the confidence
try out the Physics Past Year Question

as I do not want to see any flaws after answering
which I had lots of it most of the time

For me,
all of my Physics concepts
had messed up by my lecturer and myself

I also do aware that memorizing is not a way of study,
but it may be the only way for me to pass this subject.

Until yesterday,
my classmates encouraged me to try out and make mistakes on it
And
On the same day
I was inspired by a speaker's speech
which coincidentally with the title "Mistakes" .

From that moment on,
I had to keep remind myself
that
" Making mistakes is not a shame, what the most shameful thing is you do not try it."

Because as my age growing,
my arrogant rising up with this "fear of mistakes"

THEREFORE,
LET US TOGETHER
TO MAKE SOME MISTAKES,
TO ADMIT THESE MISTAKES,
& TO LEARN FROM MISTAKES.

QUOTATION FROM THE GREATS
"Constant effort & frequent mistakes are the stepping stones to genius."
 - Elbert Hubbard

"You're not a failure if you don't make it. You're a success because you tried."
-Susan Jeffers
