What will college student eat? - Chilli Pan Mee @ SS15

This is one of the MUST VISIT restaurant
in SS15
where here sells the most stunning
Chili Pan Mee
Although the set up is simple,
yet serving great food
makes it special

Here we are,
the spicy and delicious
Chili Pan Mee
with green leaf soup. (RM6.50)
This photo is taken after I added and mixed with dried chilies.
That's what they served you before you added chilies.

Comment: When the dish is served, you can what are the ingredients for a great pan mee, minced meat, anchovies (ikan bilis), some onions and nice sunny side egg right in the middle of my bowl. I added 2 spoons of dries chillies (I like spicy). The moment I put in my mouth, you can sense the heat brought by the chilies. It was fragrant yet did not covered over the flavour of other ingredients. It is a very unique combination for the whole dish. If you didn't put at least half spoon of dried chilies, the ingredients doesn't make sense for it. Even the egg yolk not just give some flavour to the noodle, also let it become sticky so you can eat the minced meat with the noodles. Anyway, this indeed a significant dish that you have to eat as you studying in SS15. (Of cource, they have shops in other locations.)

Rating : 9/10

Chilli Pan Mee is not the only dish for this restaurant.
However,
if you don't eat it,
then why you're here?

Don't worry
the adding dried chilies part is self service.
You can add according to your capability
(Cautious: Too much may cause some constipation or burning in stomach)

Therefore,
no matter freshmen in college
or seasoned graduates
When you asked them what food will they recommend,
Chilli Pan Mee will be one of the fan favourites.

Honour

Today,
I had heard Joel Osteen's Message of the Week.
The title was
"Honour"

He quoted from Romans 12:10:
"Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other."

Honour
can be fame & glory

or personal integrity

Honour
is one of the objects that you will find in the treasure chest of SUCCESS.
In the journey of success,
honour will  come along with us as well.

He said we shall consistently pouring our oil of honour to other people.
(Oil illustrated as honour)
Through a text, a compliment
a greeting call, a friendly chat
or other simple actions that you can actually pour honour on other person.
Therefore,
they'll feel good and special to themselves.

Because we're special
We're unique

We're born with one specific destiny and purpose
which only can be completed by our own.
We're the ambassador between the world and the Lord

By doing this small action,
you are enlightening the passion within that person's heart
you are the catalyst that pushes that person to the finish line of success in life
you may save a person who is almost committing suicide
you are saving a person from darkness to light

Joel Osteen also stated that
sometimes you may not like the environment
or people that always mean to you
A question always came out from your mind:
"Why am I have to forgive my enemies and pour my honour to them since they treated me badly since Day 1"

No matter how right you're,
in His Eye,
you should never dishonoring anyone.
Joel said
Honor your enermies
by not giving any critics or comments whenever they speak something horrible.

Not just friends and enermies
Also honor your parents
who sacrifice their lifetime to raise you and company you
in those few chapters of your life story
Time flies irreversibly.

Honours that poured out will soon
become blessings in your or your children's life
promotion, birth of new child, problems solved
When you honoring other people,
you are also honoring God.

Therefore,
do pour your honour to other people in good attitude,
to let them feel special
honor your parents too
then blessings will come and knock your door
and He will help you open the doors that lead to future/success.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

At the same day,
after we had our lunch at Tony Roma's.
We went to TGV Cinema to watch "Captain America : The Winter Soldier"

Although for some countries,
this movie haven't been released.
I felt blessed we got a chance ahead to watch it.

Overall,
I would say it was another great Marvels Movie
right after the "Captain America" and "Avenger"
My friend and I found that
the way they craft the storyline was amazing
because even though there are other Marvels Movies
like Iron Man, Thor, Green Lantern (that's DC movie, oops) and so on
the storyline seems to be connected from each other
and give you the whole story of the truth in the movie.

And somehow,
sometimes you can see several characters that you had seen before this movie,
they continued that story of that character.
For the example,
the Senator who was actually a supporter of Hydra
is the same man who gives the badges to Tony Stark and James in Iron Man.
(Thank goodness he was finally be caught and never going to see him again XP)

Additionally,
as usual in most of the movies
there were certain punch lines of humor.
My favourite part is while Agent Romanoff and Steve Rogers
hiding from the assassination from S.H.I.E.L.D.
they have to impost as married couples.
with some awkward "sweet laughters"
and the nurse who was actually an agent worked with S.H.I.E.L.D. as well.

The most exciting part for this movie
was still the dynamic of the storyline once again.
It was some sort of charisma from Marvels movie series
that they put their suspense very well.
I was shocked when I saw Nick Fury killed by the Winter Soldier
and suddenly alive and say Hi to the Secretary of Defence, Alexander Pierce
with his gun.
Also at the end of the movie,
the twins     who are they??       Where they come from???

As a whole,
it a MUST for Marvels Fan to watch.
For those who aren't,
I recommend you as well.
I can't wait to watch upcoming CA or Avengers movie.

What will college student eat? - Tony Roma's @ Sunway Pyramid

What an amazing day is,
because I am just
FINISHED MY TRIAL EXAM
WooHoo!!!
In addition,
now is almost the end of the March.
Therefore, I would like to reward myself
with fine dining.
(I will tell you what is my spending habit next time :D )

Where am I?
Oh yes,
after finished Mathematics Paper 4...
The whole class of PE4 went to Sunway Pyramid
for Party Time
(Even though it was in the early morning)

Since we are been released from the stress of trial exam
we decided to have great lunch
which brought us to
Tony Roma's
basically they sell
RIBS, SEAFOOD, STEAKS

What caught my eyes when I walked in,
was this dazzling bar
 where cocktails, beers
or other kind of drinks will be prepared by the bartender there.

There are different kinds of dining arrangement
There also photos around the restaurant which I believed was the founder and guests that visited Tony Roma's in the past.

For me,
I would recommend to you as a great place
for a class gathering
sitting long table
and have a lunch
(also great for dating too > <)

I ordered
Pineapple & Grape Blast (RM14.90)
Comment: That drink was amazing, not just that pure red colour which makes me feel as refreshing as eating watermelon. The combination of pineapple and grape was very interesting. There were rich sweetness from both fruits at the same time acidity as well. That made me enjoy the drink which not so over sweet for me. And I always like there are real fruit piece on my glass, decorative and eatable.

After all of us had done ordering,
they served us some simple
bread with sauce
which was similar with garlic bread's butter
(Oh man!! when I tore the bread, that crispy sound came from the bread that shown how fresh & well baked is.)

And now
let the main course to serve on my table please.

Present to you,
Filet Medallions with
toppings of Peppercorn Sauce, Demi-Glace and BBQ Onions
&
side dishes of coleslaw and mashed potato. (RM69.90)
Comment: To talk frankly, that was my first time, I flew to heaven when I ate that filet. I ordered medium rare, and it was so juicy and cooked perfectly. It's flavor was further elevated by the topping, gave me 3 different sensation of that steak. My favorite sauce would be the peppercorn sauce.Of course, didn't forget that how important the side dishes are. That mashed potatoes was stunning it was light and be served in large portion, I also tasted there was other texture, which is something like red pepper and cheese on that mash. As a sum, that's a really mouth-watering beef dish that I ever had. I still remember that scenario till now.

While I was enjoying my dish,
other classmates as well.
One of them ordered
Roma's Sampler (RM39.90)
Although it just an appetizer, it served as huge as an entree.
(Look that onion loaf, that's lot of onion rings.)

My friend said that the chicken wings plays a huge in this Sampler.
At least, it tasted much better than normal fried/grilled.

Not just steaks only,
my another friend ordered a panini
that covered the meat, mushroom, tomato and cheese.
That's the typical US style
to have a sandwich.

Moreover,
there were other menus like
Fish & Chip
Shrimp & Salmon Piccata
etc.

I know this was way more than a normal college student's budget.
However,
it would be great if you have these once in a month.

 My suggestion for you is:
EVERY END OF THE MONTH
since you did spend wisely throughout the month,
take part of it as budget to reward yourself.

By recharging yourself
with scrumptious meal.
You will have the motivation to work hard,
and can't wait for the next month.
Give peak performance in the end.
You will be not just happy,
and never regret.

What will college student eat? - Peppercorn Cafe

Yesterday,
my classmates and I went to Peppercorn Cafe
after we had 2 papers for the trial exam.

This restaurant is a typical western themed restaurant.
With served proper meal in western style,
from Appetizer to Dessert.

I went there few times before
it was one of my favorite places for western cuisine.

And here we were, the interior of the restaurant.

My classmate and I normally order lunch set, which is RM13.50.
With soup of the day served with garlic bread as appetizer,
then moving on to main course with drinks,
and ended with dessert.

There are several choices for main course,
you can have:
Grilled fish with vegetable and mashed potato.
(Unfortunately, the mash had sold out when we reached there.)

Grilled chicken with vegetable and mash potato as well.

Carbonara Spaghetti with sliced ham.
which I had

Comment: The pasta was well-cooked. I did not think that it will be very dry. The white creamy sauce was stunning and it brought up the flavor of the sliced ham. I did think it will be perfect with some Parmesan cheese to complete the theme of this dish. 8/10
(Haha, longing for Parmesan cheese in Italy XP )

You can also choose your drink & dessert.
They do provide jelly or ice-cream.

If you guys want more,
you can go some of the À la cartes
such as Tripeppercorn Chicken,
mix grilled chops,
and so forth.

Today,
just wanna with you
another nice place for your class gathering
with good food & fair price

Interesting Sunday

Few days ago,
I received an invitation from my buddy.
It was about a lunch gathering with Tan Sri Francis Yeoh, CEO of YTL Corporation.
at Lot 10, Bukit Bintang.

At the same time,
I am currently having A2 Trial Exam.
Initially,
I would like to reject the event as I want to concentrate my study.
However,
I knew myself that,
whole day "PLANNED" for STUDY,
actually just spent about 2 hours,
plus only 30% of the knowledge can be digested by my mind.
(That's the bad consequences of last minute studying, PLEASE DO IT CONSISTENTLY FROM DAY ONE.)

To talk frankly,
I stressed up by my academy recently
in a bad way.
Therefore,
I decided to attend this gathering
for temporary freedom from tonnes of theories & formulas

That was my first time to travel from Subang to Bukit Bintang area
through public transportation.
Since I studied Taylor's College about more than a year,
I didn't go to Bukit Bintang area after the last class trip in secondary school.

First thing I noticed was,
the monorail in KL was as packed as a sardine can.
Everyone just squeezed into a 2/4 coach monorail, riding for about 6 stops.
I felt relieved after I came out.
(Phew)

Secondly,
the variety of fashion outlet and other shop
plenty of them that saturated the whole area.
I promised myself I have to do my closet purchase there during holiday.

After I reached at Lot 10,
and reach the dining room with Yiing and her friends who we just met.
There are about 30 young adults,
with different personal stories and dreams.
Luckily,
I met a senior from AFS student exchange program
(I wear my favourite AFS T-shirt to the gathering)
His name was Dexter, who was also once president & founder of AFS Melaka Chapter.
Marvellous!!

We had a great lunch together.
After that,
the sharing session began.
Yi Weii, 20-year-old young adult who wanted to enlighten the purpose within the young adults.
Another brilliant young adult from University of Nottingham who also would like to bring up their own potential.
Paul Ang, E&E Engineering Students shared his testimony.
John Liew, an investor introduced himself to everyone.
Kelvin, currently worked as contractor for the fire fighting system.
I think you guys able to recognize him
Byan Loo, who shared how he started first small business in Standard 1.

"At the age of 20, I have 3 choice in my mind under F&B business, which are Coffee, Juice & Tea. I did some research and found that: Coffee was already saturated in Malaysia, we had Starbucks, San Francisco, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Pacific Coffee etc; Juice may not be as good as US, they think they can just make it at home instead of buying it. Therefore, the remaining choice was tea." - Bryan shared.

After all of us had known each other,
it's time to let the host of the day
Tan Sri Francis Yeoh
Shared with us
How the Lord aided him during some of the hardships in life
And the blessings from God.

"Instead of avoiding to the criticism from social media, you should endure it and prepare to be challenged. If you did nothing wrong in God's eye, no one dare to against you." - Francis Yeoh shared

"The only success formula that I agreed is I always let God to be involved in my journey."

He also shared how education should be done
To nurture talent young adults
Moreover,
He did comment some of the recent like
MH370
The Bomoh with two coconut to search the plane
(I mean seriously??What happened to our country,
since when there are people who started to make jokes
Which ruined our image as Malaysian)

He taught us that we must always put our sight on the Light, the God.
follow the Lord's pathway,
To taste and absorb His Wisdom.
God is generous,
And we're God creation with His image.
He is willing to lend us his helping hand,
Only if we have faith in Him.
Truthfully believe His presence.

The session ended with fellowship and photo-taking.
At the same day,
it was also Dato Philip's Birthday.
Buon Compleanno per te !! :)
Anyway,
I did learn a lot from Tan Sri Francis Yeoh
and also others who shared their testimony.

Moreover,
The Lord made this Divine Appointment for all of us
to gather and to form new relationship
interpersonal and with God.
I hope that we can each other once again in the future gathering.
(For some of you, surely will meet again very soon.)

Area G3 Speech Contest

Today I am going to share you
my first experience
as contestant of
Area G3 International Speech Contest
which held on last Saturday
at Monash.

I am satisfied on my progress in this journey
so far
Until I received a message from our Area Governor
that we shall send representatives from TCTMC
to participate in the Area G3 IS & TT Contest.

I would like to say
speaking during meeting
&
speaking during contest
are 2 different environments
2 different feeling.

I never take part in any kinds of speaking contest before
except
the Poetry Readings contest in secondary school
which I didn't know why I took part.

Therefore,
I started to craft my speech script for the contest.
Actually I have some ideas in my mind,
it just felt not matched with the contest standard.

Until few days before contest,
an idea flew into my mind
"What is Education?"
[Will tell you next time :) ]

So,
I crafted the draft,
rehearsed my speech,
took notes from other people,
edited the draft,
and rehearse again.....till the contest itself.

After that,
1 crazy fellow took risk and moving to the contest venue.
First of all,
of course greet to my fellow friends
have a fine meal
then proceed to the final memorization

When the contest chair announced my turn,
IT'S SHOW TIME.

After I gave my speech,
I was totally released.
I had given my best shot on the stage
and
I was enjoying to speak in the contest stage.
That's where I want to be.
That's where I will be.

As a sum,
it was very fun
First time contesting
even didn't get place
At least hoped to give strong impression to the audience
about me :)

Wish to have a second chance to participate in the contest.

Admire Vs Envy

It is normal you will see that
other people possesses something/being better than you.
Then you may have one of the following feelings.

Case 1
You admire that person.
You admire how great that his ability he had
You admire how can he solved such questions or how he was accepted by one of the top universities in the world.
Then you would like to let this person to be your role model
and mimic his actions and mottoes in life
(not the way he talk or his gestures)

Case 2
You admire yet demotivated yourself.
You start to doubt about yourself that how "foolish" or "useless" you are
and why you cannot do this.
You doubt on your ability that it is impossible to be as good as him.
Therefore,
you end up with giving up in your life
and sink into a hole which so called "failure".

Case 3
You feel envious his ability
which I would said is not a good start.
Even though you envy
You are driven by your emulous
You work very hard to equip yourself as capable as he/she is.
At least this envious feeling motivates you in a good manner,
although you sacrificed your fun time too.

Case 4
Your feeling changes from envious to jealous.
You will start to feel uncomfortable with his/her little actions,
moving on to unlike every single thing that he/she does.
In the end, you are not just blocked down the interactions/friendship with that person
as well as yourself
Just because that little feeling of jealousy
it affects your emotion, mental, physical, work, study and so on.
You are ruining yourself
and also "failed" in the worst way.

Most of people would say they admire of someone else,
in actual they envy the one.
That is including myself,
sadly.
No one could not escape this trap in life.

Message is:
Since we cannot escape it,
we endure it,
let us turn envy into admire with someone in a motivating way.
If you still feel envy instead of admire,
do not let it become jealousy.
Make it like a competition between you and him (actually is yourself)

AC ESM #2 - Work Hard, Play Hard

It was quite a long time that
I didn't share any further progress in my Toastmaster Journey
besides those events.
For today,
I'm going to share with you that
I just gave my second project speech in AC manuals.

AC stands for Advanced Communication

After I had completed 10 project speeches
in Competent Communication (CC) Manual
which contained 10 basics in speaking,
here is where I am doing now.

Among the 15 manuals,
I chose
"The Entertaining Speaker"
&
"Public relations"
5 projects each

Yesterday,
I just gave my speech at IICS Toastmasters Club.
Every time I gave a speech in other Toastmasters clubs
it was a
BRAND NEW CHALLENGE
for me

I just a FRESH CC
came out from Taylor's College Toastmasters Club.
At the same time,
it's the moment of truth
for my basics mastered in CC manual.

P.S. : By the way, ESM stands for the Entertaining Speaker Manual

WORK HARD, PLAY HARD
Both work & fun
are
EQUALLY IMPORTANT TO ALL OF US.

I couldn't balance myself
in between study and fun recently.

I admitted that I had a hard time
as this stressed me up
I want to do revision for trials exam
which coming soon.
However,
the motivation wasn't there.
That was holding me back
until certain period
I was out of the track from my study.

When my study affected,
my fun affected as well.
I kept on watching TV shows and dramas
until I don't know what to do next
which was unusual for me.

I got this idea
when I was attending Sunway University TMC's speech contest.
Whereby this inspiration just came into my mind.
Somehow
I would think maybe this is the message
that my "inner self " want to told me

No matter how hard you work,
you still need to spare some time for having some fun.
It is not reasonable to sacrifice
your lunchtime, sleeping time, hangouts, events
just for work/study
(even though you should lessen hangouts and events)

The point is,
what is your ultimate goal for working so hard?
Does it just want to earn more money?
To have better life for your family??

Do you want your life to be more colourful
instead of just working overtime everyday?
Do you want to get credit from your boss
at the same time
there are still time to spare for doing something fun?

We shall do something is exciting
as many as possible
when we're still young and energetic.

Work & Fun
are like Sword & Shield
you can't say which is better between both items.
Together,
it makes a warrior strong
to fight for victorious

People who work hard
they are more capable in handling stress
especially working under pressure
and they are executive
and able to multitask.

People who play hard
they have creative idea
which came from games, events or travelling
also called inspiration.
Their better CQ
in solving daily life problem or crisis.

Therefore,
instead of just work hard, play hard
let's us
WORK HARD AND SMART,
